Sofia Coppola owes me $9.
“Somewhere” was disappointing. Much like “Young Victoria” - although to a worse degree - I was still waiting for the movie to start when the credits rolled. Annoying. However, “The King’s Speech” was ridiculously good. Bravo Colin, Geoffrey, Helena, Derek, and the cast of somewhat recognizable Brits (even more so when you work for a company that sells...

Death Pool 2010: It's not officially over yet.... →
deathpool2010: But I feel like I can call this thing. LINDSAY WINS!!! Elizabeth Edward’s passing earlier this month gave her and Rob, who finally broke free of third place, the top two spots. Pushed to third was Bridget who had been sitting pretty for months after Gary Colemans surprise death in May. As per… Although the Death Pool seems fun - wrong but fun - it didn’t take...

Recommendations.
I’m watching “Carrie Fisher’s Wishful Drinking” (HBO on Demand) and it’s quite good. She jokes about her crazy ass family, marriage to Paul Simon, being a Star Wars icon, and so on. You might want to check it out. Also, “Easy A” (FIOS on Demand) was really great. Funny and light - with the most unbelievable scripted parents. I recommend it to you....

My Winter Vacation by Jen22201
I’ve officially begun my second week of vacation from work (the “use it or lose it” policy strikes again). The first week was full of accomplishments - Christmas shopping, new floors installed, oil change, heater inspection, family entertained, etc. I got all my to-dos checked off my list so I could truly relax during week 2. But here’s the problem - I’m bored...

Merry Christmas!
I LOVE Christmas Eve. My family always splits the presents between Xmas eve and Xmas morning, so I think I’ve always been just as much - if not more - a fan of Xmas eve. It’s delightful but also still filled with the anticipation of Xmas morning. I left my phone at my mom’s house. It’s my only phone, so hopefully nothing will happen tonight or in the AM that will require...

madthoughts: Common sense solutions to problems facing kids and parents today. Limit your children’s screen time and set an example by limiting your own. Allow your children at least one hour of unstructured outdoor play per day, rain or shine. Explore nature with your children regularly, whether in an urban park, a national park, or your own backyard. Teach your children those classic...

Excuse me, but the corpse *still* has the floor!
The Ref starring Kevin Spacey, Denis Leary, and Judy Davis is probably my favorite Christmas movie ever. I’m also a fan of Home Alone, Elf, and Love Actually. What’s your favorite Christmas movie?

Welcome back, Top Chef.
I’m more excited than I expected to be to have the real Top Chef back - and LOVE that Bourdain is now a regular (yes, kittykittybangbang, yes). I like desserts as much as the next girl, but it just wasn’t the same. And it’s an all-stars so we get back the characters we all know and love (or not) like Tre, Spike, Richard, Marcel, Jennifer, and more. I can’t wait!
