I knew it couldn't last.
The condo below me has been vacant for over a year. It’s been blissfully quiet. But new people moved in today. They’re still up at 1am. I hope that’s not the norm because momma needs her sleep.

I'm a dork.
I had a fantastic time getting semi-drunk on wine and blogging the State of the Union. Clearly I’m old and nerdy. But I’m thinking nerdy is in - Obama did say, “it’s not just the winner of the Super Bowl that needs to be celebrated, but the winner of the science fair.” And everyone clapped (except for the disgruntled Eagles fans). It’s a nerd world now. Finally.

If so, please contact Delegate Mark Sickles to ask that he vigorously oppose VA House Bill 2482 which seeks to reduce hard fought and greatly needed protections for animals. The bill eliminates a number of cruelty laws and weakens a number of other provisions.
Please get the word out so that this bill does not get passed under the radar.

I don’t think my complaining about the timing of my heating problems is unjustified given stories like this one. I will say, however, that it did make me very, very grateful that I have a home with heat and can afford to have that heat fixed when it goes out.
